Brecks & Valleys Chess Club is a friendly, modern chess club rooted in the Brecks and lowland river valleys of South Norfolk. We created the club around a simple idea: good chess, good company and a club people enjoy being part of.

Whether you’re a seasoned club or competitive player, returning after a break, have mainly played online and want to try over-the-board (OTB) chess, or are relatively new to the game, Brecks & Valleys offers a place to play, improve and enjoy chess with others.

Chess is what brings us together, but the culture of the club matters too. Brecks & Valleys is built around a small number of core principles that shape the kind of club we want to be.
